    Join us in October for our next meeting hosted on zoom. 

    The  Chair of Maine Women’s Network, Midcoast Chapter, Leah Nickerson, will be hosting this discussion tailored to negotiating salary and a new hire package for women. She will focus on;

    • The value of engaging in negotiation to add value to a deal using negotiation
    • Question-asking practices for effective negotiations to determine what your negotiation partner wants, why, and in what order
    • Securing a better deal for both parties with focus on engaging in a second negotiation with a partner in order to attempt to reach a post- settlement settlement

    Leah Nickerson; Payroll Development Officer, Bangor Savings Bank

    Leah Nickerson is the Coastal Region Payroll Development Officer for Bangor Savings Bank.  She has an experienced background with over 13 years in banking.  As the Payroll Development Officer Leah will be partnering with local businesses and community organizations in the Rockland/Camden area, along with the surrounding communities.  She works with her clients to obtain their professional goals. Nickerson’s limelight in the past 6 years has been with community and busienss development.
     
    Nickerson attended Yale School of Management for Negotiation Strategies, Cornell University with emphasis on Sales Growth, Southern New Hampshire University with a focus on digital marketing and attended the New England School of Banking.  She is currently a board member for the organizations Trekkers, Maine Women’s Networking – Midcoast Chapter, is on the promotions committee for the organization Rockland Main Street, and previously was a board member for the Vinalhaven Chamber of Commerce where she still resides as a member.  In Nickerson’s free time; she private coaches field hockey to the youth at The Pitch, and enjoys spending her time on the golf course, biking, and cooking.  She lives in Rockland with her fiancé Patrick and their two dogs, Blu and Chuck.
