"Women in Maine: State of the State"

Sarah Ruef-Lindquist
CEO, Maine Women's Fund and
Chair, Maine's Permanent Commission on the Status of Women and Girls

Our speaker works at the forefront of women's issues in Maine and will offer her thoughts and information on a variety of topics facing women and girls around the state. There will be time for questions and discussion as well.

Sarah joined the Maine Women’s Fund in 2012. As CEO, she works with the Board and staff to develop long-term strategies to increase the Fund’s philanthropic assets and grow the Fund’s impact and influence throughout Maine.

Sarah has extensive experience in fundraising, grantmaking and building fiscal efficiency. She served as the senior gift planning consultant at Planning for Good, a Midcoast-based consulting practice she founded in 2008, and ran a solo law practice focused on estate and trust planning. She also practiced law before becoming vice president for Southern Maine at the Maine Community Foundation, where she established relationships and worked with donors, community leaders, and non-profit organizations throughout the state. She also served for over five years as vice president and senior administrative trust officer at Union Trust Company in Ellsworth and Camden.

In 2013, Sarah was appointed to Maine’s Permanent Commission on the Status of Women and currently serves as acting chair. She is a member of West Bay Rotary and the Ragged Mountain and National Ski Patrols, and she sits on the boards of Unity College and the Maine Planned Giving Council. She lives in Camden with her husband, Peter.

For members and non-members alike this is an excellent opportunity to meet and network with 30-40 other businesswomen.

We love having guests and prospective members! The cost to attend is $23 for members and $27 for non-members and includes a buffet lunch.
