 How Maine Women's Network
Works For You

I met fellow member Barbara Snowden at a Maine Women's Network meeting at the beginning of my search for health insurance.  We arranged a meeting so that Barbara could present her product, Mega Insurance, to me.  In my capacity as CEO of a business (now retired) I had listened to many insurance presentations that I neither understood nor cared about.  Reluctantly I kept the appointment.  Minutes into the conversation Barbara had me.  I understood every word and every option the insurance provided and didn't provide.  She was honest and straightforward.  She was genuinely concerned that I only enroll in the coverage that I needed.  It was refreshing to work with someone who made insurance make sense.
I signed up that day.

The Maine Women's Network is a statewide resource for building professional and personal relationships among women who want to connect and make a difference--in the workplace, in the community and across the state.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of a State Board of Directors and three chapters: Androscoggin, Midcoast, Greater Portland. The chapters operate interdependently with the State Board of Directors and the Maine Women's Network organizational policies and procedures.

Each chapter is responsible for its own monthly programming, public relations and local projects. The chapters form a networked system through sharing resources, ideas, and working together to develop and promote State-wide initiatives and events.
