Judy Brogden joined Machias Savings Bank in July of 2010. Formerly, she was with Camden National Bank beginning in April of 1998 as Branch Manager and Loan Officer, relocating with her family from suburban Philadelphia to midcoast Maine. In July of 1999, she transferred to the Thomaston Branch of Camden National Bank and had successfully grown the Bank’s market share in Thomaston and the surrounding towns that the Thomaston branch serves. In September of 2009, she was transferred to the Camden Square branch of Camden National Bank. In July of 2010, she accepted an offer to work for Machias Savings Bank in Rockland, Maine. Previously, she worked as a Branch Sales Manager for Commonwealth Bank and Union National Bank, both located in Pennsylvania for 11 years. Prior to her Banking career, Judy worked in the field of Higher Education for five years after college for two private colleges in the Philadelphia area.
Judy currently serves as a Board member and Treasurer for the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County. She is also Treasurer and Board Member for the MCH Good Neighbor Foundation. She also serves on the Town of Union Appeals board and is a Trustee for the Pullen Fund for the Town of Union. Judy previously served as Vice President of the Medomak Valley High School All Sports Booster Club in Waldoboro, Maine, a Board member for the Methodist Conference Home, Inc. in Rockland, as well as a Board member and Treasurer of the Thompson Community Center in Union, Maine; where she resides with her husband, David. She has also served as committee member and Team Captain for the Rockland area walk site for the March of Dimes.
Their Daughter, Emily, is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy and works for a division of General Dynamics in San Diego and is married to her husband, Michael Lee. Their Son, Drew is a Paramedic/FF I/II for the Town of Orono and resides in Old Town with his family, including twins, Finnegan and Harper.
Judy supports the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce by attending Breakfast Biz, after hours events and the annual Business Expo committee, as well as the Memvership Committee.
She holds a B. A. in Art History from Arcadia University and has completed post-graduate work in finance, business and computer science, as well as the New England School for Financial Studies through the Massachusetts Bankers Association at Babson College.
